As-Salaamu Alaikum Dear Parents and Students,

Welcome to new academic year 2018. Hope everyone had a wonderful and rejuvenating break and ready for the new journey at Sirius College.

I am Sadik Kirazli, Religion and Values teacher for Grade 3, 4 and 5 this year. I have taught Religion and Values for more than 9 years mainly Secondary and sometimes Primary at Sirius College.

This term students are learning about Faith in Islam. Students are learning 6 Pillars of Faith in details in each year level. They learn the topics through questioning, brainstorming, exploring by videos and images. We also share some stories related to topics. I sent the Term 1 study outlines home for each year level in week 2.

In Memorisation class, students are having a revision of the last year surahs and du’as in Term 1 which mentioned in Term 1 Outline. I kindly encourage parents to give a support for students’ memorization tasks at home. Students assessment will be held in week 8 and 9.
